We have seen
the people, the families, our elected representatives and those of us along New
River Road lied to and duped into believing this was never a land grab scheme
and repeatedly assured our homes would be safe along the proposed New River
parkway route. We find the acts committed against all of us to be an outrage.
Haven’t we learned anything about the extent these government agencies have
promised in the past 20 years that we should trust them today? Is it time to
wake up yet?
They’re fully intending on driving us out of our homes, kicking us off our
land and stomping the future out of our children. Understand this: You cannot
take the land from a free people, and not take their country at the same time.
One can not be separated from the other. The two are one, indivisible. However,
this has become a common show reflected in the eyes of America.
Not only do we have the death of the American
Dream happening all over our country but with front row seating shot on location
and soon to be seen here in your area.
Some of our leaders will be quick to tell you, “Those people are safe, do
nothing, this if for the good of all”
How long can we listen to the same old story before we develop the foresight to
guess the ending? How long?
We don’t need money to fight injustices — we need backbone.
For those of you who keep asking why we should stand, make note: None of us are
New Yorkers, either, and we stand up for them. We have strong feelings about our
duties to the men on the USS Arizona. They are still on duty. Do we owe them
anything?
Our Korean, World War II, Vietnam vets and our current vets in the making — we
owe them all. No one is asking that you walk the road to Bataan. It has been
walked for you. The battle of Normandy has already been fought for us. The more
than 60,000 dead in Vietnam have already been placed on the wall. The winters of
Korea are frozen in our history. These and countless other payments on freedom
have been paid for us by those who handed us our freedom, paid for with their
lives. God bless them all.
When we reach out our hands to accept the gift of freedom from those that have
died for it, let us see to it we are standing up when we take it. Let us be
diligent in our keeping of this gift, for it belongs to our children.
Let us teach by example and assure the freedom of our grandchildren. Are they
not watchers of our history? We are a debtor nation, and the debt I speak of can
only be paid by standing up for what is right.
Taking peoples homes, lands, farms, fishing camps
is not right, for you take a piece of America and the freedoms thereof. Little
by little, bit by bit until the crumbs lie hardened in the total loss of a once
great nation, our nation.
We know for an absolute fact we have been lied to, exploited, deceived,
belittled, mocked, intimidated , used and
soon to be dispossessed — you name it. Those agencies who dumped the lies on
us need to be stood up to.
“No people will ever have a better government than they deserve.” How true.
It was a land grab from the start and still is. The only time to make them
listen is now. This time it must be done by all of us. All of us.
The duty of those that have been elected is clear. Stand up for us and stand
with us: city mayor, county commissioners, sheriff’s department, city police,
state representatives and the rest. Your neighbors and fellow Americans are
calling you. We need you to see through the rhetoric and fallacy that has and is
continuing to perpetrate this land grab scheme, not only here but all over
America.
While they fight for freedom overseas, surely we must not give it away at home.
Let us seek, in the spirit of patriotism, reborn with pride in West Virginia,
Hinton, and America, an unwavering demand for justice along with our faith in
our Lord, to help us stand up for what is right. We cannot fail. Our freedom
throughout America, not just our homes on New River Road in Raleigh County, West
Virginia, is on the line.
