The meetings of the New River Parkway Authority (NRPA) are held on the first Monday of the Month at 7PM at rotation locations in the three counties being affected by the road (Raleigh, Summers, and Mercer). Don't expect to get too much from the NRPA at their meetings. They will not answer questions from the floor at the meeting (at the next meeting, over a month later, they may answer your question, in written form). Does this indicate that the basis for the whole Parkway plan is so shaky that the NRPA has to have an entire month to carefully "craft" an answer to fit within their goals? What are they hiding? If the Parkway plan, in its current form, is so righteous, why can't the NRPA give an immediate and direct response in plain English, when asked at the meetings? So much for our government representing the interests of the people. Scheduled Meetings
