Some folks say the issues we raise here are not a widespread concern and that we should just get on with building the road and "Trust the government." Actually quite the opposite is true -Take the case of Ocie Mills. In 1986, Ocie mills "retired" and worked odd jobs until going to federal prison in 1989 for the "crime" of placing 19 truck loads of clean sand on his small lot on East Bay in Navarre, FL, to build his son a home. A seemingly innocent mistake with benign intentions, for which the government "threw the book at him." The Government claimed that Ocie violated the Clean Water Act, declared him a criminal, and sentenced him to 21 months in federal prison. He has been fighting to have his rights and his freedom restored ever since. See his story at http://www.constitutionalrightsnetwork.com/Founder/ and ask then yourself, could this happen here if they win? Yes, it very well could, if the current plan prevails. If they win, next time the victim may be your. It might be for cutting down a tree on your property, plowing a field, or painting your house? We must stand up for our rights, now, and not rush for a solution that is not truly protective of all concerned.
