If you've read our web site and you think you are not affected by the issues put forth here, we ask you to consider the following.
 | The current Parkway effort, from Sandstone, to Hinton, is just one of three phases that are planned to extend the Parkway all the way to Princeton, West Virginia. If you or someone you know lives in or near the area of Route 20 between Hinton, and Princeton, consider that you could be the next person forced out. Even if the government is telling you today that your property won't be affected, remember that is
the same story told for years to most of the people who live between Hinton and Sandstone, until just over a year ago. Even if you or somebody you know doesn't live right next to the road, keep in mind that a stated goal of the Parkway is an unobstructed "View shed." That means, unfortunately, they don't want people, houses, or anything else visible from any place on the parkway, no matter how
far away you are from it physically. If your place can be seen from the route, you're a potential target. If the correct Parkway plan for the good of all is not put in place now, if we are steamrolled by our government, who knows what lies in store for the rest of the people along the proposed Parkway route to Princeton. |
 | If you live elsewhere, you should know that our struggle to keep our land and our rights is not an isolated one. There are many similar on-going struggles now; with a government appetite for acquiring private land just that keeps getting bigger every year, you or somebody you know could one day be a target of a similar underhanded land grab. We are just a group of people who want to live in peace
and harmony on our land in the valley we love. We have no other motivation. Please, consider how you would feel if you were in our shoes, and then lend a hand of support, for the good of all the citizens of the United States, present and future. |
